MIN Y COED 2013
WERE YOU THERE ?
It was good to meet friends old and
new at this lovely well-kept site located close to the Clwydian Hills and Moel
Fammau. 15 units attended this 3 night weekend meet, and at last, the chairs
were able to be brought out for everyone to enjoy the long-awaited sunshine on
Taking advantage of the warmer weather, a beetle drive was held outdoors early on the Saturday evening. The prolonged cold winter had resulted in an absence of beetles, and those that did venture out didn’t stay around long enough to be captured. We resorted to plan B – pen and paper - ‘beetle drive’ score sheets downloaded from the internet. After 8 rounds, the winner was Alan who received the prize. So impressive was the artistry of the members, that it was decided to award ‘medals’ to the 2 most stylish beetles that were drawn. Trevor and Jack were the winners here.
Quite a few members went out to Ruthin and the surrounding area for Sunday lunch and those who had to work the next day left for home. 10 units remained until Monday and were blessed with dry weather to pack up and travel home.
