BACKPACKERS 2010
WERE YOU THERE ?
After a very windy wet Thursday night we opened at noon on a windy but lovely sunny afternoon and by evening we had 11 vans with people coming from as far afield as Salisbury & Sheffield, Saturday was a reasonable day with some going off on lovely walks seeing some great waterfalls etc. During Saturday afternoon we had two lovely ladies coming along representing the local communities produce and giving each caravan a goody-bag containing a breakfast for two (eggs, bacon, sausage and rapeseed oil to cook it in) all paid for by the EEC to promote Rural Communities. Our coffee morning was attended by all of the campers a great time and chinwag was had by all over a cup of coffee or tea and biscuits. Over the next few days we have had some leaving to try and find better weather, and others coming doing exactly the same. By the end of the 9 days with most folks enjoying their breaks, we had a total of 31 units visiting us.
